I am a retired professor of mathematics living in Reno, Nevada, USA. I am still an active mathematician and photographer.

My research specialty is Operator Algebras, a branch of Functional Analysis impacting most other fields of mathematics. I am the author (so far) of two published books, one online book, and about 40 research papers. Copies of some of my publications are on the Math Publications page.

I have held visiting positions in Canada, Germany, France, Denmark, and Australia.
